Surprise!
Yesterday evening was great. Not the most thrilling opening, but it'll do. XDAmbah's birthday was on Tuesday, but unfortunately, she didn't have a party. Then Shebly came up with a great idea: SURPRISE PARTY! Woot! And so, after late night phone book perusing, hunting for presents, and careful-but-still-random placement of streamers galore, it was a success. Ambah was greatly pleased as she will most likely convey when commenting on this post, and we all had a great time. To add more pleasure to Ambah's overflowing "cup of happiness," we went to the movies to see Hairspray. Cute movie. I mean, who doesn't want to see John Travolta in drag? (Note: That was a rhetorical question...see my first ever post ^^)
I'm curious about the accent Travolta had in the movie...it was very funny, yet I don't know where it could be from. Sure, the obvious answer is a Baltimore accent as the movie takes place there, but...you never know.
I'm really thankful for the brief downtime that I'm allowed on the weekend. Sheesh, if this is what it's like in high school, I'm not looking forward to the workload in college. Or maybe I'm focusing on one thing way too much. This being the murder story I've got to write for Pre-Calculus. I've never been good at writing stories, as I don't have the ingenious ability to end them successfully. My forte is more for poetry and stories that don't have endings. Too bad those two things aren't asked for as much in school T_T
Maybe I'm underestimating myself. Gah, being a stupid overachiever sucks...especially whenever you've also got a perfectionist persona and some procrastination mixed in there.
You know what? I'm not going to bring myself down. I'm going to step forth, do my best, and overachieve like crazy...until tomorrow XD
